DoE Secretary Steven Chu will keynote the NTEA-Calstart Green Truck Summit in Indianapolis on Monday, March 5
Secretary Chu, NTEA notes, is a distinguished scientist and co-winner of the 1997 Nobel Prize for Physics. As head of DoE, he is charged with helping implement President Obama’s clean energy agenda: reducing U.S. dependence on foreign oil, addressing the global climate crisis, and creating millions of new jobs. Chu was sworn in as DoE Secretary on January 21, 2009.
NTEA and Calstart have slated five general sessions, two keynote talks and 22 breakout sessions for GTS-12.
Registration includes admission to the Work Truck Show with more than 500,000 square feet of exhibits by more than 550 companies. Green technology will be featured throughout the show, NTEA promises, including exhibits in the Calstart Clean Technologies and Fuels Pavilion.
NTEA is also helping emphasize the environment with a Green Product Showcase, and is holding a free Green Truck Ride-and-Drive on March 6-7 featuring 21 vehicles with environmentally friendly drive systems, including CNG, propane, battery-electric, extended range electric, ultra-clean biodiesel, bi-fuel CNG, electric hybrids (series and parallel), and hydraulic hybrids.
Fleets & Fuels ShowTimes will help bring GTS-12 and green exhibitor news to the wider WTS-12 audience.
